How To Succeed In Marketing Your Business

There are a ton of different theories about how to succeed in marketing your business all over the internet; and believe me, I’ve tried my share. Some  strategies were good, but most were garbage — not because the theories were bad — but because, there were so many people using the same techniques that the market became overly saturated, which rendered the techniques ineffective.

The question is NOT how to succeed in marketing your business, but…

How to Succeed in Marketing Your Business in 2009?

Many people believe that the techniques they used ten years ago will work in today’s internet industries; that just is not true. Ten years ago the common mantra was “Only the strong survive”. In today’s super-fast-paced and highly energetic world, the new maxim is “Only the persistent survive”.

To be truly successful with any type of marketing, whether it be socially based or product or service driven, you must develop a mindset of steady plodding and persistence.

“Steady plodding brings prosperity…” Proverbs 21:5

The majority of the people who start any type of internet business bail out within the first three months due to the fact that, at first, they see very little (if any) fruit from their labor.

In the beginning stages of starting a business, there will be little to no reward received for an enormous amount of work done. Some people can’t handle that, and subsequently end up quickly jumping from one thing to another - one business to another - one product to another.

Try to view your business like a gardener might look at it. After all, you will be planting for a future harvest; not for a crop that will spring up overnight so you can consume it in the morning.

applesIn order to have an apple tree grow tall and bear ample fruit, you must first dig deep and plant it into good soil. You must water and nurture your tree until it has matured enough to produce its own harvest.

Remember, once your tree has progressed enough to start bearing its own fruit, it will continue to bear that (and even more abundant) fruit for many years to come.

In like manner, if you give up before your business has a chance to start producing income, you will be quitting much too soon. My advice to you is to turn your two-year business plan into a four-year plan.

Don’t be in such a hurry! Since the internet is so inundated with every kind of scam artist you can think of, it may take quite some time before people will begin to trust you.

Be assured, if you remain constant and always try to deliver a quality product or service, your credibility will begin to grow by word-of-mouth and your business will start to bear fruit.

Because we live in a modern age where the Internet is continuously connecting people from all around the world, there are two basic principles that must be adhered to in order to succeed in marketing your business:

1. Target Marketing:

a. You need to attract potential prospects to your business that will search out your company, rather than you having to hunt them down.

b. Find prospects that are sincerely interested in what you have to offer. This is also known as Niche Marketing.

By using a system with carefully developed tools, you will be able to attract prospects that you can build a relationship with over time.

2. Continual Flow Of Visitors: If you want your business to survive through the early years, it’s extremely important to deliver a continual flow of visitors to your website each month. If you do not have a continual flow of visitors, your internet business will surely fail.

I was recently introduced to an innovative new product called
“The Twitter Traffic Machine” through a personal contact on Twitter.

By using this inexpensive automated system, I was able to generate over 100 followers per day to my Twitter account, which translated into about 30% of the people clicking through to my website — that’s over 30 visitors a day to my website just from my Twitter Traffic.

Delivering in video and .pdf format, Bill Crosby takes the time to explain every aspect of the system in wonderful detail. He not only shows you what to do, but he explains the why behind the concepts as well (which I truly appreciate). Once you understand his system, you can expand upon it; making it infinitely more useful than merely following the basic plan alone.

After employing the concepts discussed in “The Twitter Traffic Machine”, my Twitter followers jumped from 157 to 786 in just three days. I highly recommend the concepts and techniques that make up this product, because they really work!

You can also join their affiliate marketing program. It’s a great product and a great opportunity to drive targeted traffic to your website.
